So you want to be supernaturally healed by God.
Great! This will be easy or hard for you and 100% dependent on yourself.
To have supernatural health the following three things are required. A bit of faith, no doubt, speaking and standing.
The faith I refer to is faith in Jesus the Christ and the fact that He and therefore God does not want you to be sick. Now two groups will obviously read this post, those that believe the above statement and those that don’t. This post is not for those that don’t, but if you are seeking God, He is easy to find and when you do your mind will be changed. Then come back and read this post.
The most important ingredient to receive your healing is faith, no matter how strong, new or old.
The second ingredient is that you should be doubtless and/or void of any contradicting faith?
Faith and Unbelief (doubt or negative faith) are not opposites cancelling one another out as the one gets bigger. You can actually have both lots of faith and be full of unbelief, doubting everything at the same time. Took me a while to chew on that idea. But I believe you will discover that double mindedness is even to be found in yourself.
So now let’s expand those two ideas, faith & Unbelief a bit more.
The most important ingredient, like I mentioned earlier, is faith and interestingly also the easiest one to lay hold of. Let me ask you these questions to help you see your faith.
Did Jesus pay for your sins on the cross? How did that process work? How did the sins leave your account and joined His? Do you know the finer details? – My idea is not to get you to doubt your salvation but to show you, you just believed it was so, even though you did not understand it completely yet. How did the world come into being? Do you know the finer detail of that? Whatever you think you know about that story, what you know is not complete and you generally just believe it and accept it. Some of the smartest people don’t know everything either.
So to see your healing you have to believe God can heal and that supernatural healing is still real today, and that it still happens. Even if your faith is the size of a mustard seed it is enough according to Jesus. (Matthew 17:20) So if you only suspect it might work, you have some faith.
Now next we get to the other part that is most difficult. Many times in scripture Jesus asked people if they wanted to be healed. I believe he asked that because without that desire they would not step on that little faith they had.
You see we are so familiar with the world we live in and have such a deep understanding of our situations and conditions that we find it difficult to step out and on to the faith we have. Remember Peter asking Jesus to call him out of the boat onto the water(Matthew 14:22-36; Mark 6:45-56; John 6:16-24). Peter had faith and he wanted to step out. He just needed a nudge. That nudge of Jesus’ call helped him step out. He left the security of the boat, disregarded his understanding of the law of physics and stepped out. Simply put; he ignored the doubts. Similarly if you would like to see your healing manifest you will have to ignore the symptoms, what the doctor says, what the conventional wisdom says and put what God said above it all. This is the biggest reason I would study scripture for healing. To remind myself and increase my consciousness of my position in Christ. How, because of His death I have been made righteous(2 Corinthians 5:21) and as a result, no sickness or plaque can come near me (Psalm 91:10). In other words I have been made Holy by Jesus and therefore sickness has no business in my body. You need to get to the place in your mind and heart that God is totally for you and your healing.
In Matthew 21:21 Jesus says: “Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. ” (King James Version)
Now we have to speak. When I know I have faith and have taken care of doubt I can speak to my mountain. Important here is that Jesus is telling us to speak to our mountains. Quite literally the intention is to speak to things in creation and expect them to respond like they responded to Jesus. So tell the pain to go, the tumor to disappear, the deaf to hear the lame to walk etc. Here you have an opportunity to believe God’s word or allow in fear, the wind and waves, the natural knowledge and in fact to get into unbelief. It is your choice.
And when you have done these three things, you stand. You then fight not to be distracted like Peter, by the natural realities of the wind and the waves but hold fast to your conviction. In Ephesians 6:10-13 we read about the armor of God, which describes the way we prepare ourselves but concludes that after you did all you had to do, to stand. Stand as long as it takes. For me, if it takes me until I see Jesus, I do not care, I will stand.
In this world we are not guaranteed a life without challenges, but we have been given the right to call ourselves the sons and daughters of God through Jesus and as such to take our authority and rise above any challenge this broken world, its people, and our enemy try to raise against us.
Jesus told us that the enemy is out to get us, but that He came to destroy the works of the enemy and give us life in abundance(John 10:10; 1 John 3:8). It is yours for the taking. God has set before you a choice, life and death. Choose life!
