The church is central to my call. I have a passion for knowing God, making Him known and enjoying the abundant life He won for us, but the following is
The church is Jesus’ choice and method, for reaching and caring for this world. It is not just a system, but an living extension of Himself.
But the church we know however is not impacting her world as she was intended to. She has been led astray by all kinds of false, deceiving and evil doctrines, that entered among the members of the bride like an angel of good intentions and the purest doctrine. She is today not attracting the lost, not binding the broken and not equipping the saints for the work of the ministry. The Gospel that once was the source of the abundant life she shared, has faded into the fog of ritual, cultural custom and political correctness.
But the church is not dead and portions of the church are alive and well. And even amidst the largest parts that are known for their lifeless complexion, there are flickers of reawakening to the Gospel of Jesus’ unconditional love and grace. If these flickerings will just become flames and permanent lights our world will again see the power and love of God among us.
This is my passion and my call. To remind, equip and strengthen, the church, her people and her leaders to the fullness that is available to all that believe. To equip, to mature and to see the Bride of Christ draw again the lost, strengthen the weary and to be the beacon of Abundant Life she was meant to be.
And that my friend is why the Church is Central to me, but central to God’s plan for the age we live in.
